With the continuous progress of science and technology, lithium batteries are rapidly replacing lead-acid batteries. Some people buy lead-acid battery electric vehicles and then switch to lithium battery electric vehicles.
But at the same time, I can't help wondering: can the previous charger of lead-acid battery be used for lithium battery charging? In this regard, relevant information shows that this is not feasible.
This is because the lead-acid battery charger is generally set as a two-stage or three-stage charging mode, and the voltage levels of lithium
battery and lead-acid battery do not match. There are many kinds of lithium batteries, and the battery performance and battery protection board parameters may be different.
Therefore, unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries have universal battery chargers. Generally speaking, lithium batteries are supplied with special chargers. In order to protect the lithium battery, it is better to use the corresponding special charger.
The following are the matters needing attention when charging the lithium battery:
1. In order to prolong the life of lithium battery, it is necessary to charge and discharge the lithium battery frequently. It is necessary to develop the habit of charging after 80% of the electric vehicle is used, and never charge until all the electricity is used up. In addition, lithium batteries should not be stored for a long time.
2. When charging the electric vehicle charging battery, the switch lock must be turned off and the battery cannot be turned upside down. When charging, it should be fully charged at one time. It is not advisable to charge the battery several times, which will affect the service life of the battery.
3. Electrical appliances should not be stored in a state of power loss. Even when the battery is not in use, it should be fully charged once a month.
4. The lithium battery needs to use a matching charger when charging. Because the battery raw materials are different from the lithium battery production process, the technical requirements for the charger are also different. Therefore, only using a dedicated charger can make the lithium battery life longer and prevent potential safety hazards.
5. When the lithium battery is out of power, you should turn off the power and ride. You cannot use the rebound voltage to drive to prevent serious power loss, so as to extend the service life of the battery.
6. When charging the lithium battery of electric vehicle, float charge for 1-2 hours when the charging indicator shows full charge. It is not necessary to stop charging immediately when the indicator shows full charge.
